Vancouver, BC
A free social entertainment platform built on the spirit of British Columbia's Cariboo highlands — and filtered through a neon-cyberpunk aesthetic that makes every session feel distinctly ours.
Our Story
CaribooValley was founded in Vancouver, British Columbia, by a small team of designers and engineers who wanted to create something that felt genuinely local — not a generic entertainment product assembled from off-the-shelf parts, but a platform with a distinct visual identity rooted in the geography of our home province. The Cariboo region of BC — with its dramatic river canyons, endless spruce forests, and skies that swing between gold and electric blue — gave us our name and our colour palette.
We serve Canadian adults who want a distraction-free entertainment experience. There are no advertisements clamouring for attention, no upsell flows, no registration forms asking for personal information. You arrive, confirm you are 18 or older, and you play. The platform's entire purpose is to give you a well-crafted way to spend thirty quiet minutes.
The cyberpunk neon aesthetic was a deliberate design choice, not an accident of trend-chasing. We believe the visual tension between raw wilderness and electric technology is genuinely compelling. Deep violet, electric cyan, and hard contrast against a near-black background — these are not just colours chosen from a mood board. They are a philosophy: that the digital can feel alive in the same way a mountain at dusk does, charged and slightly unreal.
From the beginning we have treated responsible engagement as a design constraint, not a compliance checkbox. The game's mechanics are engineered to be engaging without being compulsive — no time-pressure loops, no social pressure mechanics, no notification systems that pull you back when you have stepped away. The platform measures its own success by whether you leave feeling refreshed rather than drained.
CaribooValley is entirely free. Virtual tokens have no monetary value and cannot be converted to or from real currency at any point. We are not a gambling product, and we are intentional about saying so clearly on every page. If you want to understand exactly what that means legally and practically, our Terms of Use and Responsible Play guide lay it out without ambiguity.
"We kept asking ourselves: what does entertainment look like when you take financial pressure entirely out of the equation? What remains? What you get is something surprisingly pure — the pleasure of a well-designed system doing its thing, visually, in front of you. That is CaribooValley. We hope it gives you a good half-hour."

The Team
Platform Director
Ariel oversees product direction and cross-functional delivery at CaribooValley. With a background in product management at several Vancouver-based studios, Ariel keeps the platform aligned to its core promise: distraction-free entertainment for adults, built with transparency at every layer.
Creative Lead
Marcus is the designer behind CaribooValley's neon-cyberpunk visual system. He drew the original Cariboo wilderness-meets-electric-grid concept on a whiteboard in a Gastown café and has refined it into every pixel of the current interface. His background spans motion graphics, UI design, and interactive installation art.
Safety Officer
Sienna owns CaribooValley's responsible-play programme. She wrote the platform's self-assessment questions, maintains relationships with our four partner organisations, and audits every new feature for potential engagement-loop risks before release. Prior to CaribooValley she worked in crisis support services in the Lower Mainland.
